Some Minnesotans are getting a Tax Order - and it's confusing

The Minnesota Department of Revenue has been sending notices to some Minnesota taxpayers (about 45,000 of them), assessing additional tax for the years 2019 and 2020.

The reason for the assessment is explained on the last page of the notice (picture below). The explanation states that the Minnesota form was incorrect. It was not due to an error either the taxpayer or the tax preparer made - the form itself was wrong.
