Marking 75 years in business has been a year-long endeavor, capped off by a celebration open house and seminar at the Green Acres Event Center on June 22. As our managing partner Dave Benusa said- we are thankful to our clients, referral sources, and especially our employees, who make our work meaningful and enjoyable.
Throughout the event space were five stations, each following an element of wellbeing, as described in the book Wellbeing at Work, How to build resilient and thriving teams, by Jim Clifton and Jim Harter.
The career wellbeing station offered a copy of the book and some tools to help improve work life. The station emphasizing social wellbeing was a smattering of spotify hits old and new, which allowed us to tap our toes and smile a bit. A group of FAers offered a plinko game for the finance wellbeing station, complete with tips and tools for financial health. Outside, a putting green and bags tourney highlighted physical wellbeing, with a prize of honey!
Community wellbeing was displayed in a silent auction, with baskets created by each department. Over $1000 was raised and will be donated to Wildflyer coffee, a shop in Minneapolis that helps youth experiencing homelessness.
Just prior to the open house we hosted a seminar on the importance of wellbeing in the workplace and how business owners can impact it for their teams.
